Our work started with a desire to create family for those who had none. Orphaned and abandoned children of any kind challenged us to the core. Then to meet some street children in remote locations  trying to survive -30° winters living on the streets took this to another level.

We then realised that many Chinese couples have a real heart to help but, in many cases, are themselves living in poor conditions.  But, their passions to make a difference in the lives of their local kids were incredible.  Together, we realised we could make this happen.  Although there are many challenges, just knowing that children once cold, hungry, and living without love in a tough world are tonight experiencing the genuine love and nurture that only a family can give - well, that's captivating work. This is how it works: Foster parents who have already raised their own children commit to their new role as a foster mum and dad until their new children become adults and leave home.

Each child is sponsored by (usually) two international sponsors whose donations are pooled and used to help equip these families in such a way that they can do the best possible job in raising these kids.  Funding is also used to create a sustainable infrastructure over time - the aim being to impact more and more children from a position of self-sufficiency in the years to come. Every child has access to education, has their basic medical needs met, and access to a team of people focused on helping them achieve a future free of poverty.
